Eire Og manager Paul Madden feels the club is starting to reap the benefits of hard work at underage level over the last few years.

The Townies are one step away from claiming Jack Daly for the first time since 2006 as they take on reigning champions Kilmurry Ibrickane in Sunday’s decider.

There are injury concerns over captain Gavin Cooney, who didn’t feature during the clubs hurling semi final loss to Inagh-Kilnamona last weekend.

Madden says while progress has been made, it is important to keep pushing for success.

Meanwhile the captain of the Kilmurry Ibrickane team feels the squad are well set for any challenge that comes their way.

The holders topped the Group of Death in the round robin stages, with an opening round draw against Miltown being followed by wins over Cratloe, Ennistymon and Cooraclare.

County star Keelan Sexton feels having had a tough run to this point will be something they hope to build on.
