Ennis Track’s Dean Casey claimed a 13th placed finish in the 5,000m World U20 Athletics Championship final.
The St Flannan’s student crossed the line in a time of 14:37.79 in the 22 man field.
Ethiopia’s Addisu Yihune finished in 14:03.05 to take the gold.

Casey, who is coached by Pat Hogan, set a new Irish U20 10,000m record in May, the first time the previous record had been surpassed for 52 years.
He was also part of the Ennis Track team who won the European Club Cross Country Championships title earlier this year.
