Clare boss Brian Lohan feels the performances of the younger players was a major positive in their opening game of the National Hurling league.

The 4-27 to 0-14 win over Westmeath saw a number of competitive debuts under Lohan’s watch, with Parteen’s Jack Kirwan, Feakle’s Adam Hogan and Kilmihil’s Gearoid O’Grady all putting in impressive showings.

Up next for Clare is a trip to the Gaelic Grounds to face Limerick on Saturday evening next, with key players like Mark Rodgers also having Fitzgibbon Cup duty to contend with this week.
