Clare’s Laurie Ryan has been chosen as the Women’s League of Ireland Player of the Month.
The Ennis native, who is currently captain of Athlone Town, picked up the award for her outstanding displays in April, helping the club to win five of their last six outings.
The former Lifford player joined Athlone last year, and is also currently lining out for the Clare ladies football side.
