A Kilrush-based software company has signed a multimillion euro contract with the Local Government Management Association to provide a housing asset managment system, which will be implemented by all 31 local authorities across the country.

Following a public tender process, AddJust, which was founded by three West Clare businessmen and employs nine people, was successful in securing the 4.7 million euro deal.

Founded by West Clare’s Padraig Neylon, Joe Neylon and Michael Kelly, AddJust is an Enterprise Ireland High Potential Start Up, which is currently based in the Clare County Council-operated digital hub in Kilrush.

The company, which develops property management software for the Irish public sector, approved housing bodies and the private sector has now signed a 4.7 million euro contract with the Local Government Management Association, as part of the government’s Housing For All strategy.

The LGMA provides a range of professional services to the local government sector and connects all 31 local authorities, aligning expertise and driving innovation.

The new national housing platform will host data on the Government’s second largest asset portfolio; social houses, which are worth in excess of €22 billion to the state.

The software roll out also involves a mobile inspection app used to carry out inspections on private rental properties that are registered with the Residential Tenancies Board.

Prior to being awarded this contract, the company worked with Clare County Council, which was the first local authority to adopt the software and has been hailed as a key part of the development of new features as they’re released.

In a statement to Clare FM, AddJust CEO Padraig Neylon says they’re “extremely proud” of their West Clare roots, their Kilrush base and of the fact their software is being rolled out to every local authority in the country in a major digital transformation of systems in the public sector.
