The bridge linking counties Clare and Tipperary at Killaloe/Ballina has reopened following a road traffic collision this afternoon.
Emergency services from both counties dealt with the incident which is understood to have occurred at around 3.30pm. Three cars, all travelling in the same direction, were thought to have been involved in the collision.
Units of the fire service from Killaloe in Clare and Newport, Fire Service in Co Tipperary responded to the crash along with Gardaí.

The National Ambulance Service arrived and assessed those involved. Two people were taken to hospital with what are reported as minor injuries.
