Junior Integration Minister Says Educational Support Program In Place For Magowna Residents

The Junior Integration Minister says an educational support programme is in the works for asylum seekers who recently arrived in Clare.

Joe O’Brien met with protesters in Inch last week following the arrival of 34 international protection applicants to Magowna House, without prior community engagement.

A blockade was subsequently put in place by local residents outside the entrance to former hotel in a bid to to highlight concerns over the facility itself as well as a lack of local services, but this was ultimately lifted on the sixth day.
