Joint Meeting Of Clare And Tipperary Councillors Hailed As A Success

A special joint meeting of councillors on both sides of the Tipp Clare border has been hailed a success.

Members from the Killaloe and Nenagh Municipal Districts gathered in Ballina this week to brainstorm on projects that could benefit villages along Lough Derg.

Its the first such gathering since 2014 when the town councillors were abolished and Tipperary County Council was amalgamated – it was agreed that they would now become a bi-annual event.
