The chairman of the group responsible for delivering a new five year strategic plan for Clare GAA feels implementing is proposals is now the key task.

Among the recommendations of the Saffron and Blue plan is the hiring of a Chief Operations Officer, with review group member and former Doora Barefield hurler Eoin Conroy outlining that a financial backer for the salary of the first three years of the new position has been secured.

A Commercial and Brand manager is also to be hired, while plans to provide a state of the art finish to Clare GAA’s Centre in Caherlohan were also outlined at last nights meeting where clubs and the executive were unanimous in their support for the document.
