House Prices In Clare Up 12% In A Year

The average price for a house in Clare has risen by 12% in the last year.

The CSO’s most recently published Residential Property Index reveals the average price paid for a house in the county in the twelve months to April was €235,000.

House prices in Ireland are up across the board once again with a 3.6% rise on average in the twelve months leading up to April.

 

Households paid a median price of €313,000 in this period which is up from €286,000 in the twelve months up to April 2022.

Over 5% fewer dwelling purchases were filed with Revenue in April of this year with 3,262 purchases registered this April compared to 3,446 in the same month last year.

The total value of transactions in April was €1.2 billion.

In Clare, house prices have jumped by 12% in a year with the median price in the county now €235,000 compared to €210,000 last year.

This represents an increase of €25,000.

There was no change however between house prices in the county last month compared to the previous month which could indicate a stabilising of prices.

Overall in the Midwest region, house prices went up by 5.4%.
