Kilmurry Ibrickane’s Shane Hickey is confident they have the ability to make the improvements needed to retain their Clare Senior Football title.

The champions are preparing for a second successive final appearance, with Clondegad standing between them and Jack Daly on Sunday afternoon.

Kilmurry’s only defeat in 2017 came at the hands of neighbours Miltown in their Cusack Cup playoff, seven days before they faced Cratloe in the championship semi final.

Meanwhile Clondegad captain Gary Brennan feels there will be no secrets between the sides when they square off in Cusack Park.

The Ballynacally based side will march behind the band for the first time in the clubs history as they look to upset the holders.

Brennan, who is once more part of the Irish International Rules squad this season, says it’s all finding the small margins that make the difference.
