Health Minister Insists Investing In Ennis Hospital Key To Easing UHL Overcrowding

The Health Minister insists continuing to invest in Ennis Hospital will be key to easing the overcrowding burden on UHL.

It comes one week after the issuing of a letter by the HSE Chief Clinical Office to the Midwest Hospital Campaign Group outlining its reasons against reopening Ennis’s A&E.

Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation meanwhile put overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick 70% higher than that of the next busiest facility last month.
