Health Experts Warn Of Increased Flu Circulation In Midwest

Health experts are warning of an increased incidence of flu in the Midwest region.

Public Health Midwest say 101 cases of the disease have been recorded in the region since October, in line with similar spikes across the country.

It’s understood an ‘earlier’ flu season than usual is underway, and medics are concerned about the combined impact of its circulation along with COVID-19 and RSV.

People who are considered medically vulnerable are being encouraged to get vaccinated, with Public Health Midwest anticipating a further rise in cases in the coming weeks.
