Granting Extra Funding To Clare Communities Hosting High Proportion Of Refugees Deemed An “Absolute Necessity”

Granting additional funding to communities in Clare hosting a high proportion of refugees has been deemed an “absolute necessity”.

It follows confirmation from the Taoiseach that the 10 communities nationwide which have the highest proportion of international protection applicants and Ukrainian refugees will receive a special support package.

Clare now has the highest proportion of international protection applicants of any county in Munster and the fourth highest proportion of Ukrainian refugees in the country.
