Gardaí are investigating a spate of burglaries which took place across East Clare last week.

A perpetrator entered a private room at 9am last Wednesday morning and after being disturbed by a resident, fled the scene in the direction of Tuamgraney in a vehicle described as a back Peugeot estate with a roof storage box.

Between 8:45am and 3pm, several properties were entered in Bealkelly, Ogonnelloe and a number of items were stolen including a Nintendo Switch and a personalised grey Apple iPad engraved with the words “to the moon and back Nini”.

Two males were observed in the vehicle which is believed to have travelled through Ogonnelloe, Tuamgraney, Feakle and Killanena.

Anyone who may have information or dashcam footage is asked to contact Killaloe Garda Station on 061 620 540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
