Former Clare Captain Set To Be Appointed As New Minor Hurling Boss

New management teams have been announced for the Clare U20 and minor hurlers for the coming year.

Former Clare captain Brian O’Connell will take charge of the minor hurlers, with the Wolfe Tones clubman taking over the role from Terence Chaplin.

It’s understood 1995 All Ireland winner Cyril Lyons will be part of the backroom team.

Whitegate’s Terence Fahy is set to be appointed as the new U20 manager, succeeding Sean Doyle.

The Tulla based teacher is believed to have fellow clubman and 2013 All Ireland winner Brendan Bugler as part of his coaching set up.

Meanwhile, Dermot Coughlan and Michael Neylon are set to remain in their positions as minor and U20 football managers respectively.
