The new manager of the Clare senior footballers will be ratified this evening.

Kerry native Mark Fitzgerald will be recommended to club delegates by the selection committee, which included former county players David Tubridy and Ger Keane, along with board chairman Kieran Keating and COO Deirdre Murphy.

Fitzgerald worked as interim manager of the Limerick footballers following Ray Dempsey’s departure earlier this year, and faced off against Clare in the Munster semi-final.
