A father-of-ten killed in a tragic workplace accident in East Clare has been named locally as Pat O’Connor.
The 71-year-old died of crush injuries in an incident involving a mini-digger at the family farm at Magherabawn, Feakle.
He was a well-known builder around the county and leaves behind ten children, the youngest of whom are still in school.

Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the incident and a post mortem examination is due to be carried out.
