There was mixed fortunes for the Clare sides in intermediate and junior provincial action this weekend.

Ogonnelloe came out on top of a thrilling battle with Brickey Rangers in the Munster Junior quarter-final, winning by 3-13 to 2-13.

It sets up a showdown in two weeks time with Tipperary champions Skeheenarinky, and manager Donal Molloy felt his side showed great heart to grind out the win

Meanwhile there was no joy for Smith O’Brien’s, who lost out to Waterford’s Dunhill by 0-13 to 0-11.
