“Excellent” Bathing Water Quality At 12 Clare Beaches – EPA

The Environmental Protection Agency says water quality at 12 bathing areas in Clare are continuing to meet the EU’s minimum standards.

Tests carried out at Ballyalla, Ballycuggeran, Bishopsquarter, Cappagh Pier, Fanore, Kilkee, Lahinch, Mountshannon, Seafield – Quilty, Spanish Point, White Strand – Doonbeg and White Strand – Miltown Malbay all once again returned “excellent” results in 2020.

While two new bathing waters were identified last year in Quilty and Carrigaholt and will be classified for the first time following the 2021 season.
