On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Davy Quinlivan from Ennis who is a past pupil of St. Flannan’s College in Ennis. Davy spoke to Alan about his experience of growing up in Ennis as a young gay man and what it felt like to return to his old school setting to encourage and inspire others as part of Stand Up Awareness Week. This is an annual campaign which gives second level schools, Youthreach and youth services the opportunity to recognise their LGBTQ+ community.
If there are any teachers or students wishing to receive more information on Stand Up Week, they can access this information via BeLonGTo.org and shoutout.ie.
