Ennis Hospital Staff Claim Backbone Of Health Service “At Risk” By HSE Recruitment Freeze

Staff at Ennis General Hospital claim the backbone of the health service is at risk of collapsing this winter.

It comes as medical personnel across the country have taken to the picket lines this week in protest of the HSE’s recruitment freeze.

The embargo which was initially introduced for just clerical and administrative staff in June was extended by CEO Bernard Gloster to all grades of nurses and doctors last month.
