Ennis Chamber Expect Further Rise In Numbers Claiming Pandemic Payment

Ennis Chamber has attributed a rise in the number of people claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment in Clare to seasonal employment coming to an end.

An additional 63 people are receiving the state support in the county today, the first time since the beginning of May that numbers have increased.

It brings the total number in receipt of the state support to 4,512, while the figure for those who have been medically certified for the 350 euro Enhanced Illness Benefit payment has increased to 1,189.
