Ennis Chamber CEO Expects Challenges For County Town Businesses After The New Year

The CEO of the Ennis Chamber fears major challenges will be faced by businesses in the New Year.

Earlier this month, local representatives granted approval for County Council’s 2024 Budget, which will result in commercial rates being reduced by over 4%.

Meanwhile, the first phase of the €11.5m public realm regeneration of Ennis town centre is expected to conclude in April which includes upgrades to footpaths and wall-mounted street lighting.

Ennis Chamber CEO, Margaret O’Brien, says the local businesses are fearing disruption over the course of works.
