The CEO of one of Clare’s biggest multi-national employers who rose to the position after starting on the factory floor 35 years previously is urging women in business to back themselves.
Currently 26,413 females are in employment in Clare, which makes up 47% of the county’s working population.
Despite this, CSO data shows that women here earn almost €6,000 less per year than men.
