Eire Óg Stalwart Daniels Relishing Challenge Ahead Of Seventh Clare Senior Football Final

Eire Óg’s Shane Daniels says the manner in which Gaelic Football has evolved is a challenge for every team to adapt to.

The club stalwart is preparing to play in the county football final for the seventh time, having made his debut in the 2001 decider against Doonbeg.

Sunday will see Daniels line out in goals against the North Clare Magpies of Ennistymon, and he will do so with a clean sheet across the championship campaign.

He says everyone has had to change how they approach the game over the last few years

Meanwhile Ennistymon manager Mark Shanahan says they have tried to foster a culture of enjoyment within the group.

A second county final in the clubs history awaits on Sunday, with their maiden appearance having come in 2018.

Shanahan says mixing the light with the shade has helped them to progress this year
