Dutch Ambassador Highlights Benefits Of Links Between Midwest And Amsterdam During Clare Visit

The Dutch Ambassador to Ireland is highlighting the benefits of increased links between the midwest and Amsterdam.

Adriaan Palm is visiting Clare this week – where he’s received an official reception from Clare County Council and participated in a luncheon with a delegation of local businesses assembled by Ennis Chamber.

They discussed recent developments in the County, and possibilities for stimulating Irish-Dutch cooperation in the region, especially in the area of sustainability.

Aer Lingus has previously said a European hub route for Shannon would be examined – if deemed economically viable, while the Department of Transport is also considering a PSO route between the airport and Amsterdam.

Adriaan Palm says it’s ultimately up to the Department and airlines to decide, but increased links would be beneficial.
