Draws Made For 2022 Munster Minor And U20 Championships

The draws have been made for the 2022 Munster GAA U20 and Minor championships.

The U20 football championship will be played on a knockout basis, with the others reverting to a round robin format

In the U20 football championship, Michael Neylon’s charges face Tipperary in the quarter finals on April 11th, with the winners hosting Kerry in the last four.

Terence Fahy will begin his term as manager of the U20 hurlers on April 6th by taking on Limerick in the round robin stages, before facing Cork a week later. The top two teams in each group will contest the semi finals.

The minor football championship reverts back to the two stage round robin format, with Dermot Coughlan’s Clare having home games against Waterford and Tipperary along with a trip to Limerick. The top two teams in the Phase One series will meet for the right to go through to the second round robin series against Cork and Kerry. Clare’s first outing is against Waterford on April 14th.

The minor hurling series will see Brian O’Connell make his debut as manager by taking on Waterford and Tipperary in the group stages. Whoever tops each group will go straight to a semi final, with the second and third placed teams meeting in crossover quarter finals. Clare travel to take on Tipperary in their opening game on April 12th.
