Doras Says Floatels Would “Push People To The Margins”

A Midwest migrants’ rights group claims the use of floating hotels as emergency accommodation would “push people to the margins” of society.

The Department of Integration has confirmed it will launch a formal process to bring “floatels” on stream as emergency accommodation.

The measure has been proposed to combat the rising number of international protection applicants without accommodation, with this number currently at 199, according to the Minister for Integration.
