On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Hadley Fitzpatrick who is the organizer of the Dementia Friendly Social Clubs located in County Clare. Hadley discussed the idea behind the clubs which can be used by dementia sufferers and their family members or friends to interact with other sufferers in a relaxed and friendly environment. She also highlighted the benefits of the Dementia Friendly Social Clubs for those who avail of the services on a regular basis. The club takes place in Ennis in Cuan An Chlair Cahercalla each Monday between the hours of 11am and 1pm while it also takes place in the Stella Maris day centre in Lisdoonvarna each Thursday at the same time.
