Customs Checks At Shannon In No Deal Brexit Scenario Says Senior Minister

A Senior Government Minister has indicated that there will be increased customs checks at ports and airports, including Shannon, in the event of a no deal Brexit.

But the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys is still insisting that there will be no hard border on the island of Ireland.

She says the Government is at an intensive planning stage for Brexit, regardless of the outcome of the ongoing negotiations.
