Saturday afternoon sees Cratloe and Kilmurry-Ibrickane taking to the Cusack Park turf with the Jack Daly Cup up for grabs.

The West Clare side come into the game looking for a third senior football title in five seasons.

Aiden ‘Horse’ Maloney’s side fell at the final hurdle in 2019 – but avenged that defeat to St Joseph’s Milltown Malbay in the first round.

Since then, they’ve claimed the scalps of Eire Og and Lissycasey.

Maloney says they’re looking to find a little bit more than last year’s final performance tomorrow afternoon.

Cratloe, meanwhile, make their first county final appearance since their 2014 success.

It’s been a strange year for the Blues, who have taken the long route to the final – a first round defeat to Lissycasey meaning they’ve had to overcome Clondegad, St Joseph’s Milltown Malbay and St Breckans to get here.

Boss Colm Collins is pleased his side are in the decider in what he says is a high quality renewal of the championship this year.

Throw in for that one is at 4.30 on Saturday at Cusack Park – we’ll have full live commentary here in Clare FM, with all our football coverage this weekend coming in association with Ennis Home Furniture, Quinn Road Business Park, Ennis.

On Sunday, then, the focus turns to the small ball.

Sixmilebridge will be attempting to win back-to-back Canon Hamilton cups for the first time since 1993 when they take on O Callaghans Mills.

Boss Tim Crowe says getting back to a decider this year his been the aim from day one for his men.

For O Callaghans Mills, it’s a first senior county final since 1993 – ironically the same year The Bridge last retained the championship.

If the Mills were to emerge victorious on Sunday, it would be their first time at the top of Clare’s club hurling tree in 83 years.

It’s been some turnaround in Donach O Donnell’s first campaign managing the side, as they narrowly avoided relegation to Intermediate level last year.

He says they’ll be leaving it all on the field on Sunday afternoon.

Throw in for the game on Sunday is at 3pm and we’ll have full live commentary here on Clare FM, in association with Blossoms on the Go Garden Centre, Ennis.

It promises to be another feast of GAA action this weekend across the Banner.
