Cooney Hopeful State Funding For Caherlohan All-Weather Pitch In The Pipeline

Clare’s outgoing county board chairman is hopeful plans for an all-weather floodlit pitch in Caherlohan gets the green light for state funding in the coming weeks.

Clare GAA figures suggest nearly €5 million had been spent on the facility as of November last year, with further investment now required to make additional improvements.

The Banner’s senior hurlers opted to train on club grounds outside the centre of excellence before their Munster and All Ireland campaign got underway this year.
