Clare senior hurling captain John Conlon is confident he will be back in action early in 2022.
The 2018 All Star missed the closing stages of Clonlara’s club championship campaign after suffering a knee injury, which had been feared to be recurrence of the cruciate issue which kept him sidelined for almost a year.
The injury was not as serious as first feared though, with the Shannon based primary school teacher undergoing keyhole surgery in recent weeks.

He says recovery is going well and is hopeful of a return to competitive action in the coming months.
