Confidence has been expressed that a multi-million euro infrastructure project in East Clare will be delivered on time and within budget.

The Department of Transport has given Clare County Council the Green Light to award the contract for the Killaloe Bypass / Shannon River Crossing Project to John Sisk and Sons Ltd.

The project incorporates a bypass road, along with a bridge crossing the River Shannon, which it’s hoped will result in a 40% reduction in congestion between the border towns of Killaloe and Ballina.
