The Chair of Clare’s Housing Committee says it’s extremely concerning that people in need in this county are facing long waits for housing adaptations.
Gerry Flynn wants to see additional staff allocated to the housing section to deal with the Housing Adaptation Grant, Housing Aid for Older People and Mobility Aids Grants.
They provide money to those with disabilities or mobility issues to make their homes more safe to live in.

But as things stand, Independent Councillor Flynn says even those in the most dire need of the finance are being left on waiting lists for months on end.
