Clubs Primed For Action As Race For Clare Football Titles Gets Underway

The 2022 Clare senior football championship gets underway this afternoon.

Cratloe and St Joseph’s Doora Barefield are first out in the race for Jack Daly, as they clash in Shannon at 3pm

That’s followed at 4.30pm in Cusack Park by a repeat of last year’s semi final, where St Breckan’s will be bidding for revenge against reigning champions Eire Og.

2019 champions Miltown take on 2021 intermediate champions Corofin in the second game of the evening at the county grounds.

That one has a 6.30pm start with commentary on Clare FM with Jones’s Supervalu, Miltown.

The first game sees the beaten Cusack Cup finalists Kildysart taking on neighbours Coolmeen in Lissycasey at 3pm

Kilrush begin life back in the second tier by taking on Naomh Eoin in Doonbeg at 6pm

Cooraclare are also newly relegated as they take on the Banner in Lissycasey at 4.45pm, while there is a 6pm start in Quilty where Michael Cusack’s face O’Curry’s.
