Clare TD Says It’s “Regrettable” That Pensioners Won’t Receive Money Lost Over 5 Years

A Clare Fine Gael TD says it’s regrettable that tens of thousands of pensioners won’t receive the money they lost out on over the past five years due to a pensions anomaly.

30,000 retired people who had been missing out on payments due to a loophole will have that corrected from March, but they won’t actually get the money until next year.

A new home care credit will allow people to get their full state pension if they’ve stayed at home for up to 20 years before returning to the workforce.
