Clare Senator Confident New Report Will Enrich Opportunities For Autistic Community

A Clare member of the Oireachtas Committee on Autism says universal design will be at the forefront of a new report aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those with ASD.

The 143-page document will be published later today, with a view to identifying the appropriate areas for investment that will advance employment, education, healthcare and public infrastructure for the community ahead of budget 2024.

Around one in 65 people in Ireland are living with Autism Spectrum Disorder and combat daily obstacles such as noise sensitivity, mood instability and sensory issues.
