Clare Record Huge Win Over Longford To Reach National Ladies Football League Division Three Final

Ladies National Football League: Clare: 7-15 – Longford 2-03

It was seventh heaven for the Clare ladies footballers this afternoon in Longford as a 27 point winning margin secured their place in the National Football League Division Three final.

The Banner ladies came into the encounter lying fourth in the table, knowing that other results would have to go their way to be within a chance of finishing in the top two, however amassing a significant scoring difference would also play a crucial factor and Clare wasted no time in upholding their end of the bargain.

At the half way stage Clare had registered 5-06 on away soil, while keeping their opponents scoreless, before going on to raise two more green flags in the final period.

As The Banner coasted to a well deserved victory on a full time score of 7-15 to 2-03.

The result means Wayne Freeman’s charges will face Kildare in the decider in three weeks time, with the winner of that tie making the step up to Division Two for 2024.
