A former Clare football selector feels the squad will be looking forward to the showdown with Cork in Cusack Park this weekend.

Consecutive one point losses to Kildare and Dublin in recent weeks have left the Banner needing points to save their Division Two status in the final rounds.

The team will be named tomorrow evening for the game, with Cathal O’Connor set to miss out once more with a hamstring injury.
