The captain of the Clare ladies footballers feels it is important they build on a positive start to their All Ireland campaign.

Laura Griffey’s second half goal helped Wayne Freeman’s side to a 1-17 to 1-12 win over Offaly, with Fidelma Marrinan once again top scoring with a personal tally of seven points.

Up next for Clare is a home tie against Wicklow on Sunday in Cusack Park, where victory would all but secure their progress to the knockout stages.
