Clare Green Party To Seek Judicial Review Of Ennis Data Centre Decision

The Clare branch of the Green Party has confirmed it will be seeking a judicial review following An Bord Pleanála’s decision to grant a €1.2bn data centre in Ennis.

The board this week upheld Clare County Council’s ruling to grant permission for a 200 Mega-Watt facility on a 145 acre site on the Tulla Road in Ennis.

According to Art Data Centres LTD, the project will create up to 475 high-quality jobs when operational as well as 1,200 during the six-year construction phase and the heat generated by the centre could support up to 1,100 local homes.
