Clare GAA spent over €1 million on team expenses for the 2022 season.
The figure has almost doubled from the costs incurred in last year’s financial report.
A total of just shy of €1.1 million euro is listed under team expenses for 2022 in the accounts to be presented at next week’s annual convention.
In contrast, that figure was just over €640,000 last year, although 2022 did see Clare reach the All Ireland hurling semi final and All Ireland football quarter-final.
Despite the rise in costs, the board has declared a surplus for the year of €614,00, which is up from €225,000 12 months ago.
The total income declared is just over €2.7 million, more than doubling from €1.3 million last year, with costs also seeing a near doubling to just under €2.1 million.
