A Clare farmers’ representative insists the EU Commission has become detached from the realities of life on the ground for people in Clare.
Eddie Punch is stepping down from his role as General Secretary of the ICS after 25 years, to run for the Europen Parliament elections as an Independent candidate in the Ireland South Constituency.
The Cratloe farmer says he will stand on a platform of protecting farming and demanding fair treatment for farmers, advocating for balanced regional development within the country and for mental health.
