Clare Educator Remembers How Brother’s Life Was Saved By Organ Donation

A Clare educator with first-hand experience of organ donation is reminding people of their power to save lives.

Organ Donor Awareness Week began last Saturday and its key campaign message this year is “Don’t Leave Your Loved Ones In Doubt”.

Ireland ranks 28th worldwide in terms of organ donation rates and as of the introduction of the Human Tissue Bill at the end of February, everyone is deemed an organ donor unless they opt-out.
