Clare Economist Expects Further Interest Rate Hikes In Months Ahead

A Clare Economist is predicting that the European Central Bank will issue further interest rate hikes in the coming months.

The ECB announced an increase of 0.25 percentage points last night, bringing the base rate to 4%.

It marks the eighth rise introduced by the monetary authority since last July, meaning tracker mortgage holders with up to €100,000 outstanding on their balance can anticipate an additional €13 on monthly repayments.
