Clare Dog Warden Says Stronger Legislation Needed Around Control Of Dangerous Breeds

Clare’s County Dog Warden says stronger legislation is needed around the control of dangerous dog breeds in this country.

It comes as 40 additional wardens are due to be hired across the country, as part of new measures, with fines for owners who don’t properly control their dog doubling to up to 5-thousand euro.

A central database for microchips and dog breeders will also be established.
