Clare County Council Spent Over €240,000 On Audits Last Year

Clare County Council is the only local authority in the country to have conducted an external quality assurance review in the last five years.

The latest NOAC report shows the council allocated over €240,000 of last years budget to audit its performance and activities.

The National Oversight And Audit Commission’s findings show that Clare County Council commissioned more than 25 internal reviews last year, which was the second-highest rate nationwide.
