Clare County Council Calls For Road Safety To Be Added To School Curriculum

Clare County Council will write to the Education Minister to request that Road Safety is enshrined at all levels of the school curriculum.

So far this year, 16 people have been hospitalised following road traffic collisions in this county, while there has been one fatality.

Currently road safety modules are part of the optional transition year programme, but otherwise there’s no mandatory course in the primary or secondary curriculum.
